This was very aggravating and we are not going to stay at this hotel again when we visit the area in December. Is not one of the perks of staying in a hotel is that one does not have to do all that? Also, what does "complimentary" mean when guests are paying for the hotel stay? So will it cost more if the housekeeping was not complimentary. We asked that the room be cleaned on our 6th day but we were given the "being polite" answer that "we will try to put you on the list but it's not guaranteed." The room still did not get cleaned and we were having to empty our trash and make our bed. It did not happen and when we asked the front desk they said that it should have been requested the night before (this requirement was not written anywhere).

Somehow we thought that the full housekeeping on the 5th day will be automatic. It says on the bathroom mirror sticker "Complimentary Housekeeping Upon Request" (clean towels, trash emptied, bed made) in big print, and "For stays longer than 4 nights, a full housekeeping will be provided" in smaller print below. Second, the housekeeping policy at this hotel is simply undesirable and, in my opinion, unacceptable. We could hear people in the hallway and also voices/sounds from the room next door. As with any new built, the walls are not as soundproof as one would find in older properties. Being new, it is still clean and updated. This is one of the newer built Home2Suites and we had stayed here once last year. First, we are Diamond Hilton members and we have stayed at many Hilton properties. This is also meant to be constructive for the hotel property so that they can hopefully improve their service. I honestly do not like writing bad reviews but I want others to learn from our experience as we have from others with their reviews. But it definitely will not be here under the current circumstances.… We are from out of state and would like a nice place to stay while visiting family. So the cost is particularly high when factoring in the total lack of service. No change of towels, making of bed, emptying of waste baskets. The rates are comparable with other hotels and there is no housekeeping during a stay of multiple days. But all of these criticisms would be offset by modest pricing and cleaning service.

Having to be gluten free makes them more limited and more tasteless. And though the breakfast area is bright and clean with good spacing between tables, the food offerings are limited and largely tasteless. There is no way to shut off light and sound with such a porous portal. The bathroom offers little privacy with a sliding door that does not close completely. But noise in the hallway may be less irksome than noise within the "suite". I am making this statement as we were awakened several times by people talking in the hallway at one in the morning. With the colors and "decorations" the "suite" has little to entice resting and relaxing, and apparently that is not a high priority for the guests who stay here.
Equally odd is the closet, a narrow hole in the wall with yet another curtain rather than a door. The word suite is at best a gross misnomer, at worst a deliberate attempt to mislead. These are not separate rooms, and could not possibly function as such.
One long and narrow room, the living area is separated from the sleeping area by a curtain. The "design" of the "suites" borders on the bizzarre. The hotel and "suites" are clean, the breakfast area is bright, the hotel is well situated and easy to access. Since the negatives far outnumber and outweigh the positives, I can quickly sum up what did work.
